Bathroom Cleaner!
I hate cleaning my bathtub! Strange, I know, but I would rather clean the toilet before I clean the bathtub. So between that and the clog we have had in our drain, our bathtub was in lovely shape. While surfing Pinterest one day, I found this pin that was supposed to be magic! Anything that would easily clean my bathtub, I was definitely interested in.....
To make this bathroom cleaner you need:
- spray bottle
- 1 part white distilled vinegar (warm it up for about 1 minute)
- 1 part blue Dawn (apparently it is very important it is the blue kind)
Mix the warm vinegar and blue Dawn together in the spray bottle. (Warm vinegar smells awful!! But it is better than inhaling chemicals while cleaning!) Shake it up then spray away! Let it sit for about 1 hour.
Don't let it sit more than one hour or the blue starts to stain the tub.
After 1 hour, use a sponge and wipe down the tub. I was thrilled with the results, I barely scrubbed at all! I used it on my sink and counter top, too!
Pinterest Success! :)

Painting Wine Glasses!
I have seen many posts about painting wine glasses lately. So at my last Pinterest Party, the girls and I painted our own wine glasses! What's a Pinterest Party? It's where all your guests bring a recipe they have found on Pinterest (food or drink), you hang out, drink wine, and get crafty.
To paint wine glasses, all you need is:
To paint wine glasses, all you need is:
- craft paint for glass (it specifies on the back of the bottle)
- paint brushes
Everyone had a lot of fun and got pretty creative. Here are how my glasses turned out!
Bad News: These glasses are NOT dishwasher safe :( The picture below is how mine came out after they got washed in the dishwasher. Only a little remnant of paint left....
The glasses will hold up if you hand wash them very gently.

Make Your Own Baby Wipes!
This project came from this pin!
As a new mommy, you can imagine how excited I was when I found a pin that said, "Make Your Own Baby Wipes!" I was even more excited when I saw how easy it was. Baby wipes are expensive. So far we have been lucky enough that we have not had to buy baby wipes yet... but we were on our last box of wipes left from the baby shower. That made this a perfect time to try this pin!
To make these wipes you need:
Then, mix 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of baby wash, and 1/2 tablespoon of baby oil together. Pour the mixture over the paper towels. It smells so good!
Close the lid and let the paper towels soak for 10 minutes. Then, turn the pile of paper towels over and let them sit for another 10 minutes. That's it! Super easy, huh? I transferred mine to an old baby wipes container that I had saved.
Making these wipes will save you a ton of money and doesn't contain all the chemicals regular baby wipes do. I looked at the ingredients on a tub of store bought wipes and the only ingredients I may add next time is Lanolin and aloe. Pinterest Success!

So far we have been lucky enough that we have not had to buy baby wipes yet... but we were on our last box of wipes left from the baby shower. That made this a perfect time to try this pin!
To make these wipes you need:
- 1 roll of paper towels (use the good ones, the cheap wipes will disintegrate)
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tablespoon baby wash
- 1/2 tablespoon baby oil
- knife (big one, like scary big!)
- container
- measuring cup
- cutting board
The first step is to cut the roll of paper towels in half. I was a little nervous about this part (I hate using big knives) but it was actually a lot easier than I thought.
Then, take one of the 1/2 rolls of paper towels and tear the pieces off the roll. Fold each piece in half so they will fit in the container. This is the most tedious part of this whole process. (I did it while watching the Bachelorette!) Put the folded paper towels in the container. Then, mix 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of baby wash, and 1/2 tablespoon of baby oil together. Pour the mixture over the paper towels. It smells so good!

Nailed It!
Welcome to Pin There, Done That! I am probably crazy for starting a new blog since I hardly have time to take a shower these days with a new baby at home, but I think this will be fun! If you are like me, you love Pinterest! I can spend hours on the site and it always leaves me motivated. However, many times the "easiest way to clean your bathtub" or "the best mac and cheese ever!" turns out to be a complete disaster. I want to see if these fantastic pins really are fantastic. I want to see if all of these do-it-yourself pins really can be done!
This picture cracks me up. It was actually my motivation for this blog. If there are any pins you are dying to try, leave me a comment. I'll give them a shot and post the end result! This could end up terrible....
